Marko
Valic and Jan Hering get to
know each other in Highschool and form a punkrock band.
After graduation their ways split. Jan starts an
apprenticeship as
a
photographer in Wuerzburg, Germany, and Marko travels the
world (Spain, Jamaica, Australia ) and becomes a
student of
Anthropology, Filmstudies and Easterneuropean studies at the
FU,
Berlin. A few years later --Jan has meanwhile earned his
degree as
a photographer and is now a Film and TV Camera student at
the FH Dortmund-- they meet again in their hometown Minden. Marko
speaks about his idea of realizing a documentary
film about
the life of his new balkan friends in Berlin. This is
to be
considered the birth hour of VALIC-HERING-FILMS. |
